Module 1: The Organisational Development Journey
This module explores the true purpose of training and the relationship between people, systems and learning throughout the development journey. Participants will consider what is needed, how to define clear outcomes and purpose, and why effective stakeholder engagement is essential.
By the end of the module, participants will understand the importance of establishing strong foundations before moving into solution mode. They will also see how this essential groundwork supports meaningful evaluation and helps demonstrate return on investment, which is explored further in Module 5.

Module 2: Creative Training Design
This module explores the role of retention, inspiration and action in the learning journey, and how these should be embedded in the design process. It also examines the value of experiential learning in creating meaningful and lasting impact.
Participants will use creative thinking techniques to generate original and memorable ways to engage learners and they will learn how to ensure that even the most unconventional activities remain purposeful, relevant and closely aligned with the intended outcomes.
We’ll explore the importance of connecting memorable learning experiences to participants daily lived experiences, creating the conditions for insight, reflection and those all-important lightbulb moments. Finally, participants will consider how AI can support, rather than replace, the creative process.

Module 3: Effective Facilitation
In this module, we’ll explore some of the key skills and behaviours effective facilitators use to create a psychologically safe space for learning. And how they ensure the learning is accessible, inclusive and enjoyable for everyone.
Building on their own experience, and that of others, participants will explore how to establish expectations and boundaries, how to bring energy, authenticity and purpose to their training and how to manage time well.
And we’ll look at how to manage those challenging situations that everyone will face at some point in their careers.

Module 4: Powerful Debriefs
The debrief is, perhaps, the most critical piece in facilitating learner-led learning. In this module, we’ll explore the importance of guided reflection, and how the questions we ask can make or break a learning session.
We’ll explore the importance of using observed evidence to construct targeted, thought-provoking questions that encourage reflection and self-awareness, and which connect the experiences in the learning environment to what really happens in the workplace. And we’ll explore how to lead participants from enlightenment to implementation back in the workplace with clear, tangible actions.

Module 5: Assessing the Impact
Evaluation and return on investment is perhaps the part of the learning journey that many learning and development professionals struggle with most.
It’s also vitally important - and not just something internal training teams need to consider. It’s just as important that self-employed consultants and training companies know how to measure the impact of what they’re delivering and the value of that to their client.
In this module, we’ll look at Kirkpatrick’s four-stage model of evaluation, consider its merits and reflect on why it almost always fails in application. We’ll also explore the value of anecdotal evidence of impact and how, using a structured process, we can capture story-based evidence in a way that supports and adds credibility to any statistical evidence provided by Kirkpatrick.

Module 6: Practice and Assessment
This practical module provides an opportunity for participants to demonstrate the skills they’ve learnt in a live virtual session and receive useful, detailed, constructive feedback that will help them continue their professional development.
Unlike other modules, this module will include sections that are recorded for assessment purposes.
Afterwards, stay in contact with your cohort and enjoy the benefits of a year's free Lite membership of Trainers' Library.
